This was originally an 8 channel sound installation to an exhibition by Atty Bax. The exhibition was part of an “art route”, I believe it was early 2000’s. Atty had produced artificial animals and placed them in her studio.
My idea was to create an artificial soundscape (having Cage’s title in mind (not so much the music itself)). I created an imaginary forest with background sounds and the sounds of imaginary creatures. As sound source I used sounds that I found on a set of very cheap foley sounds. The animals that Atty had created were somewhat similar to what you can see on the cover of this release. Considering that Atty’s work is always related to eroticism I baptized this as Lust Beast Forest.
This rendition is a stereo mix which is slightly reworked (May 2010).
